Defining standby control for B2B high availability

How to define standby control for B2B high availability (HA).

Procedure

  1. In the search field, enter ethernet.
  2. From the search results, click Ethernet interface.
  3. Click the name of the interface to edit. The Ethernet interfaces for standby control on the primary and secondary gateways must be on the same subnet.
  4. Configure the standby control for HA.
    1. On the Standby control tab, enable standby control.
    2. In the Group number field, enter the group number. The group number of the primary and secondary gateways must be the same.
    3. In the Primary virtual IP address field, enter the virtual IP address for the high availability cluster to process B2B transactions.
    4. Set the Enable preemption property
    5. Optional: In the Secondary virtual IP addresses field, enter auxiliary virtual IP addresses. These addresses are advertised when the interface is the active member of the standby group.
    6. Retain the default value of 100 for the Priority field. The priority must be 100 on both the primary and secondary gateways.
  5. Click Apply to save changes to the running configuration.
  6. Click Save to save changes to the persisted configuration.
