Defining B2B persistence for the primary gateway

How to configure the B2B persistence settings for the primary gateway.

Before you begin

Before you configure the primary DataPower® Gateway for B2B high availability (HA), you must enable standby control on the primary DataPower Gateway.

After you configure the standby control on the primary DataPower Gateway, you can define the HA configuration for the primary DataPower Gateway.

Procedure

  1. In the search field, enter b2b persistence.
  2. From the search results, click B2B Persistence.
  3. Click the High availability tab.
  4. Set the High availability enabled property to on.
  5. In the Replication listener address field, enter the IP address to support replication.
The replication is of transactional metadata in the high availability cluster. You can enter the IP address, or click Select Alias.
Note: The IP address for the B2B persistence store is on a different subnet than the IP address for the standby control.
  6. In the Replication listener port field, enter the TCP port to support replication.
  7. In the Replication remote hostname field, enter the hostname of the alternative DataPower Gateway in the high availability cluster.
  8. In the Replication remote port field, enter the TCP port of the alternative DataPower Gateway in the high availability cluster.
This port must be the same as the replication listener port for the alternative host.
  9. In the Virtual IP address field, enter the virtual IP address that is defined in the standby control configuration.
  10. Click Apply. The DataPower Gateway starts in a secondary mode.
  11. Click Mark as high availability primary. The DataPower Gateway switches to a primary mode.
