Removing a Data Gate on Cloud instance

Delete a Data Gate on Cloud instance that you no longer need, or delete an instance to create a new instance with the same name.

About this task

A removal of an instance from the OpenShift® user interface sometimes does not delete all related objects of that instance. That is, you might be unable to pair a new instance with the same route host and port to the same Db2® for z/OS® subsystem or data sharing group without doing some clean-up work before.

Procedure

  1. Open the Data Gate on Cloud instance UI (as described in chapter xx)
    Draft comment: kuester@de.ibm.com
    Resolve the reference "as described in chapter xx"
    You see the dashboard of your instance.
  2. Draft comment: kuester@de.ibm.com
    Step 2 is probably incorrect. Probably, an instance is deleted from a higher level on the instance UI. Check when available.
  3. From the main menu of the instance UI (Main menu icon on instance UI), select Delete.
    A confirmation window is displayed:

  4. Click Delete.
