Automatic installation using Operator Lifecycle Manager (OLM)
You can use an automatic script to install License Service on the cluster, and automatically create the License Service instance.
Supported configurations
The script is supported on the following platforms:
- Linux x86_64 architecture with or without Operator Lifecycle Manager (OLM).
- Any cluster that already has Operator Lifecycle Manager (OLM) installed.
Before installation, see Supported platforms and hardware requirements to check the installation requirements.
Installation
The script installs License Service, creates an instance, and validates the installation steps.
Note: This procedure guides you through the installation of License Service. It does not cover the installation of License Service Reporter, which is not available without an an IBM Cloud Pak® on OpenShift Container Platform.

If you are installing License Service on IBM Cloud Kubernetes Services (IKS) or Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), next configure ingress. For more information, see Configuring ingress. After you configure ingress, verify the installation.
-
If you are installing License Service on OpenShift Container Platform, the installation is complete at this point and License Service is running in your cluster. You can verify the installation.
Verification
To check whether License Service components are properly installed and running, check if License Service components are running. For more information, see Checking License Service components.
