Verifying security group settings

To protect the instances in your Data Gate on Cloud VPC from unwanted access, you might have to change or add rules to the security group that was created by the CloudFormation template.

1. Make sure that you are still logged in to your AWS account with your IAM user ID. See Signing in to AWS for more information.
2. On the AWS console, enter EC2 in the search field.
3. On the EC2 Dashboard, you can view all running instances. Identify the Data Gate on Cloud instances.
4. Open the configuration of one of these instances by clicking its name.
5. Click the Security tab.
6. Check the inbound rules of the security group. To make changes:
   1. Click the security group name (hyperlink) above the inbound rules.
   2. Click Edit inbound rules.
   3. Click Add rule to add rules or change the existing rules as needed.
   4. Click Save rules.
