To deprovision (remove) a Data Gate on Cloud
instance, you must remove several AWS
resources before you remove the instance itself.
About this task
The Data Gate on Cloud endpoint in the
on-premises connectivity VPC was created manually. Therefore, you also have to remove it manually.
You must remove all endpoints before you can remove the endpoint service. Network load balancers can
be removed only if all associated endpoints have been removed before. In a final step, you remove
the instance by removing the entire OpenShift®
project in which the instance runs.
Procedure
- Remove the manually created Data Gate on Cloud
endpoint in the on-premises connectivity VPC. For the location of this endpoint, see Figure 1.
- Remove he endpoint service from AWS.
- Remove the network load balancers from AWS.
- Delete the Data Gate on Cloud CloudFormation
stack that was created to remove all resources that were created for the Data Gate on Cloud instance.
Important:
- Make sure not to delete any of the nested stacks manually. They are deleted automatically when
the main stack is deleted.
- The deletion might fail if you created other AWS resources manually in the instance VPC and have
not removed these before you deleted the Data Gate on Cloud instance stack.
- Remove the OpenShift project in which
the instance runs.
- Log in to the OpenShift Cluster
Manager Hybrid Cloud Console at https://console.redhat.com/openshift.
- Delete the ROSA cluster that was
created for Data Gate on Cloud.
