Deleting a maintenance window
If you delete a maintenance window, you can decide the disposition of any open actions that are assigned to that maintenance window.
Procedure
- On the Db2 Automation Expert main menu, enter 11 in the Option field and press Enter.
- On the Automation Console panel, enter 2 in the Option field and press Enter.
- On the Maintenance Windows panel, enter D in the Source field, and enter selection criteria in the Window Like field. Press Enter.
- Enter D in the Cmd line next to the maintenance window that you want to delete and press Enter. One of the following is displayed:
- If no actions are assigned to the maintenance window, the Confirm delete/unschedule window is displayed. Enter Y in the Delete and unschedule field and press Enter. A message confirms the maintenance window deletion.
- If actions are assigned to the maintenance window, the Maint Window Action Disposition panel is displayed, containing the list of open and active actions assigned to the maintenance window being deleted. Enter one of the following in the Action Disposition field:
- Specify R to reassign these actions to another maintenance window. When you press Enter, the Maintenance Window panel is displayed; select a different maintenance window for the actions to be assigned to and press Enter. A message is displayed to indicate which maintenance window the action will be assigned to and a confirmation window is displayed to confirm deletion of the maintenance window.
- Specify N to not reassign the actions and press Enter. Important: These actions will not be resolved unless they are reassigned to another maintenance window.
- Specify Y to delete all actions from the maintenance window.
- To confirm, enter Y in the Delete and unschedule field and press Enter.
