Specifying DISCARD options

If you specify DISCARD, you must specify the data set name and other options for the data set to contain the discarded records.

About this task

This data set will contain copies of records that meet the DISCARD FROM TABLE ... WHEN specification. When the syntax is built, the data set will be used in the SYSDISC DD statement.

Procedure

  1. On the Reorg Utility Profile Options panel, enter Y in the Update Discard DSN options field and press Enter.
  2. On the Update Dataset Options panel, enter the data set options.
    For more information, see Updating data set options.
  3. When finished, press PF3 (END) to return to the Reorg Utility Profile Options panel.
