The certificate management menu on the IBM Db2 Analytics Accelerator Console consists of several
functions to manage SSL certificates for IBM Integrated Synchronization. You can list all installed
certificates, remove obsolete certificates, create, download, and activate new certificates, as well
as activate certificates that were already transferred to the accelerator from a secure DDF
port.
About this task
IBM Integrated Synchronization uses
secure-socket-layer (SSL) encryption. With this technology, a Db2 subsystem uses a certificate to authenticate itself to an accelerator. The certificate is
issued by RACF®, then transferred to the accelerator, from
where you finally import it using the console. If you want to change the certificate, you must stop
incremental updates before the change, and re-enable these after. In the past, this required a
reload of all replicated tables on the accelerator. The certificate management functions on the
IBM Db2 Analytics Accelerator Console make the
reload step superfluous, which saves a lot of time.
