Using the main menu

When you start CICS VR, the CICS VR main menu panel is displayed.

If you are running CICS VR for the first time, select option 5 from the main menu to customize the JCL skeleton. For further information, see Customizing the JCL skeleton.

From the CICS VR main menu panel, you can select these options:
  1. A list of VSAM spheres.
  2. A list of MVS log streams and CICS VR copied log streams Selecting from the log stream list.
  3. A list of registered log of logs, Selecting from the log of logs list.
  4. The Automatic deregister criteria, Setting automatic log stream deregistration.
  5. The JCL skeleton, Customizing the JCL skeleton.
  6. An ISPF BROWSE of the data set allocated to the DWWMSG ddname, Browsing messages.
  7. A list of CICS Backout Failed spheres, Working with CICS Backout Failed spheres.
  8. CICS VR settings, CICS VR settings.
