Smart code converter
The CUAZ Smart code converter provides AI-enabled automatic conversion of 68/74 COBOL Standard code to 85 COBOL Standard for COBOL 6 compatibility. The programs flagged with the Older language level syntax indicator in the application and load library scans can be converted to the 85 COBOL Standard using this feature. This ensures that programs meet the COBOL 6 compatibility requirements for the upgrade process.
Syntax conversion
The Smart code converter performs AI-assisted syntax conversion by default. In addition to generating the converted code, the AI code assistant can also provide an explanation of the modifications that are applied. If no AI code assistants are installed, the Smart code converter automatically switches to basic syntax conversion that uses predefined, rule‑based transformation logic for conversion. The basic, rule-based mode does not ensure a complete syntax conversion.
