Projects and reports
Projects and reports help you manage your COBOL upgrade process more efficiently. Reports generated from application, load library, or invalid data detection scans can be saved to projects for easy retrieval. The Smart code converter uses the saved project information and associated configuration settings to perform code conversion.
CUAZ projects — including the associated reports — can be saved and reopened without losing any information. When CUAZ starts, the project and configuration information is loaded automatically, allowing immediate access to previously saved reports.
Benefits
- Eliminates the need to re-enter input information, such as source location and listing data.
- Allows scan reports to be accessed locally without connecting to a mainframe.
- Enables scan reports to be saved to different projects for easy retrieval.
- Lets users save reports to projects and continue working without losing progress.
Saving reports
- Select Save report after the scan report generates.
- Save the report to an existing project or create a new project.
Accessing saved projects
You can access saved projects from the PROJECTS section in the Side Bar. When you select a project, all associated project data is displayed.
Reports saved to a project are available in the REPORTS section. The DATASETS section displays the project’s source data sets and the programs associated with each data set.
