Configure VS Code Settings

Use the VS Code Settings for COBOL Upgrade Advisor for z/OSĀ® to define common input values and configuration options used across the application. From a centralized location, you can define common input values for inventory and invalid data detection scans and enable the CUAZ Model Context Protocol (MCP) server option.

When you run an inventory or invalid data detection scan, these predefined values are automatically populated from the VS Code User Settings, reducing manual input, streamlining the setup process, and ensuring consistency across your workflow.

To open the VS Code Settings for CUAZ,
  1. Open VS Code Settings.
  2. Navigate to Extensions.
  3. Locate the COBOL Upgrade Advisor for z/OS Extension.
