Troubleshooting a Hardware Management Console configuration

Use this information to understand, isolate, and resolve Hardware Management Console problems.

The user account is locked after the DS Storage Manager password for the HMC is changed
If the DS Storage Manager password for the Hardware Management Console (HMC) is changed, you must update the password in Copy Services Manager.
Cannot connect to the DS8000 storage system
This condition occurs when Copy Services Manager attempts to connect to a DS8000 storage system through a Hardware Management Console (HMC).
Standby management server cannot connect to the HMC
This condition occurs when the Copy Services Manager server cannot connect to the Hardware Management Console (HMC).
Cannot connect to the Hardware Management Console
This condition occurs during normal operation.
