Messages

This information describes the Copy Services Manager messages that might be displayed in the user interfaces or included in log files.

Message format
Copy Services Manager messages contain a unique identifier (for example, IWNE9000E). You can use this identifier to find more detailed information.
IWNC
Command line interface (CLI) messages (IWNC) are provided for reference.
IWNE
Element messages (IWNE) are provided for reference.
IWNG
Graphical user interface (GUI) messages (IWNG) are provided for reference.
IWNH
Hardware messages (IWNH) are provided for reference.
IWNR
Driver and command processor (management server) messages (IWNR) are provided for reference.
FlashCopy Manager messages
All FlashCopy® Manager messages follow a consistent naming convention whereby each message starts with a five character prefix of IWNAF and IWNRF.
