Cannot connect to the Hardware Management Console
This condition occurs during normal operation.
Problem
When you have an active session in Normal state and then modify the Hardware Management Console (HMC) to go from single to dual HMC configuration, or dual to single HMC configuration, there is a brief disconnection in communication with the hardware. This causes the session to go into a Severe state before resuming Normal status. In addition, a message might appear in the console that states you have lost connection to the DS storage system using the HMC.
Action
This disconnection is temporary. It does not indicate a problem with the HMC configuration or data, and it does not affect the state of any running sessions.
