Postinstallation tasks for IBM Z
After you install IBM Z® , you must complete
the postinstallation tasks. These tasks include configuring and submitting the jobs that are
presented in the following topics in the order that they are presented.
Configuring the IWNRACF jobs
Starting with Copy Services Manager Version 6.1.4 , you can complete five new postinstallation IWNRACF jobs: IWNRACF1, IWNRACF2, IWNRACF3, IWNRACF4, and IWNRACF5. These jobs provide the necessary security settings and write permissions for the file system, address spaces, user IDs, and login authorities to run the Copy Services Manager application. You can find these jobs in the SYS1.SAMPLIB data set. Starting with Copy Services Manager Version 6.2.5 , you can complete five new postinstallation IWNRACF jobs: IWNRACF1, IWNRACF2, IWNRACF3, IWNRACF4, IWNRACF5 and (optional) IWNRACFC. These jobs provide the necessary security settings and write permissions for the file system, address spaces, user IDs, login authorities, and enablement of SAF authorization to run the Copy Services Manager application. You can find these jobs in the SYS1.SAMPLIB data set.
Migrating the file system from HFS to zFS
You can migrate from the hierarchical file system (HFS) to the z/OS file system (zFS).
Configuring the IWNCRZFS job
You allocate a z/OS (zFS) data set to a root file system by specifying certain parameters in the IWNCRZFS job.
Configuring the IWNCRHFS job
You allocate a hierarchical file system (HFS) data set to a root file system by specifying certain parameters in the IWNCRHFS job.
Configuring the IWNIMNT job
You can mount the z/OS File System (zFS) that is created by the IWNCRZFS job, by configuring and submitting the IWNIMNT job. You can choose to create and mount a hierarchical file system (HFS) instead, by using the IWNCRHFS job and updating the IWNIMNT job as needed.
Configuring the IWNINSTL job
To set up the data source, applications, security, Java™, and the libraries in WebSphere Application Server for z/OS Liberty Profile, configure, and submit the IWNINSTL installation job.
Configuring the IWNSRV job
Edit the IWNSRV job and copy it to the PROCLIB system library with the correct directory paths to start and stop IBM Copy Services Manager .
Configuring the IWNAUTH job
Edit the IWNAUTH job and copy it to the PROCLIB system library with the correct directory paths to start and stop Copy Services Manager authentication.
Configuring the IWNSAFK job
Starting with Copy Services Manager Version 6.3.6 , you can run a postinstallation IWNSAFK job. The IWNSAFK job creates a certificate authority, signed certificate, and provides the necessary security settings and write permissions for enablement of SAF key ring authorization to run the Copy Services Manager application over SSL. You can find this job in the SYS1.SAMPLIB data set.
