Cannot connect to a SAN Volume Controller or Storwize cluster

This condition occurs when Copy Services Manager attempts to connect to a SAN Volume Controller or Storwize® storage system.

Problem

The user name that is used by Copy Services Manager to connect to a cluster for these storage systems must have the correct authorization.

Action

Complete these steps to solve this condition:
  • Ensure that the firewall is not preventing the management server from communicating with the storage system cluster, and that the storage system cluster can communicate with the management server.
  • Ensure that the correct user name and password is specified for the storage system cluster.
  • Ensure that correct IP address is specified for the storage system cluster.
