Action requires a higher authorization level than is assigned to the user
This condition occurs when a user tries to complete an action in Copy Services Manager and the user does not have the required authorization.
Problem
The actions that a user can complete in Copy Services Manager are determined by the user role. User roles can be assigned to an individual user or a group. The roles are Administrator, which as unrestricted access, Monitor, and Operator.
If a user is assigned to one role as an individual and a different role as a member of a group, the user has the authorization level that has greater access.
Action
Ensure that the user is assigned to a role that has authorization to complete the action. To view the users and groups that are defined in Copy Services Manager and their assigned roles, complete the following steps:
- Log on as a user or group that is assigned to the Administrator role.
- In the menu bar, select Administration page is displayed with a list of users and user groups and their associated role. If you want to change the role for a user or group, select the user or group, and then select View/Modify Access from the Select Action list. . The
