Cannot run a csmcli command

There might be an occasion when you try to run a csmcli command, but it fails.

Problem

You cannot start a csmcli session or run a csmcli command.

Action

Verify that the client port value is the same in these files:
  • For distributed systems, the files are
    • path_prefix/CLI/repcli.properties
    • path_prefix/liberty/wlp/usr/servers/csmServer/properties/rmserver.properties
  • For z/OS systems, the files are
    • path_prefix/opt/IBM/CSM/CLI/repcli.properties
    • path_prefix/opt/IBM/CSM/wlp/usr/servers/csmServer/properties/rmserver.properties
