Enabling Object Lock for a system
About this task
- Once enabled at the system level, Object Lock can only be disabled if there are no Object Lock enabled container vaults and templates or storage pools in the system.
- When Object Lock is enabled at the system level, the Object Lock option becomes visible at the storage pool level only. When Object Lock is enabled on a storage pool level, the Object Lock option becomes visible for container vaults and templates on that storage pool.
- A Management Vault must be enabled with automatic configuration and backup of HTTP access logs before you can configure Object Lock on the system.
Note: To complete the enablement of Object Lock, this feature also needs to be enabled on the
desired storage pool(s) and the container vault(s). Once Object Lock is enabled on individual
container vaults, it cannot be disabled.
Procedure
- Navigate to
- Enable Object Lock at the system level by moving the switch to Enabled.
- Click Save.
