About this task

Vault templates enable the user to create multiple vaults with the same parameters quickly. A vault template is created on a storage pool. The vault template attributes are identical to a standard vault, with a few additions.

Note: Container Vaults can be created by using a Vault Template. However, the following template settings are ignored: Enable Versioning, Delete Restricted, Name Index, and Recovery Listing. These settings are only used when you create a standard vault.

Procedure

  1. Edit the Name for this template.
    255 characters max; however, no more than approximately 50 are recommended for the user interface.
  2. Edit the Provisioning Code.
    This parameter would typically be the S3 PUT Bucket Location Constraint or Region parameter. This parameter is not directly applicable to a vault, and can be thought of as an alternative name or left blank.
  3. Edit the free-form Description for this template.
  4. Edit the Vault Attributes.
