Rebuilding is a necessary cost the IBM Cloud Object Storage System™ must incur to ensure reliability and availability over time.
While rebuilding has a minor impact on normal operations, it requires some bandwidth to keep the
system healthy. The amount of bandwidth rebuilding consumes depends on a number of factors:
- Annual Data Rebuild Rate
- Total Annual Rebuild Network Traffic
- Individual Annual Slicestor Rebuild Network Traffic
