Backing up the Manager database

CAUTION:
The FTP server must be configured before a backup can be done.

About this task

You can back up the IBM Cloud Object Storage Manager™ database.

CAUTION:
If any error messages appear during the backup process, contact IBM Customer Support.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to Settings > Operations > Backup Configuration.
  2. Enter the information in Backup Configuration and click Update.
  3. Navigate to Settings > Operations > Backup Manager Manually.
  4. Select the location to which you want to back up the Manager database:
    • Desktop (default)
    • The location that is defined as the automatic backup location.
  5. Click Backup in the Backup Manager Now action bar.
  6. Click Save to save the backup file.
  7. Click Open to select the upgrade file and close the dialog box.
