Synchronization process
The System performs the following steps in synchronization of object data.
Procedure
- The nodes compare metadata between the vaults. If the revision of the objects metadata differs between vaults in the mirror, the synchronization process starts.
- The process reads the metadata from both vaults.
- The process compares last modified, last changed, last touched, timestamps on both versions of each object.
- The more recent objects metadata is written out to both vaults so it matches on both vaults.
- The process reassembles the object from the most recent content components.
- The process writes the resulting object to the Slicestor nodes which previously had the incorrect content.
