Impact

The Notification Service writes a new intent for each write event_type or delete event_type, which creates additional overhead that affects the number of total operations the system performs. However, this overhead is done in parallel with other operations, so it does not add a latency penalty to the operations that generate notifications. The impact is greatest when doing small (less than 1MB, or embedded content) object writes.

Vaults that are assigned to a notification configuration cannot be used in a mirror, for data migration, with a management vault, or with a vault proxy.
