Overview
Object Replication gives users the ability to set up automatic copying of objects from one bucket to another. When the feature is enabled on the system, users are allowed to configure replication policies on their buckets. From that point on, newly written objects to those buckets are asynchronously copied to the destination bucket that is specified in the policy. Metadata updates to any previously synced objects (replicas) are also copied over, which keeps the two objects in sync. These synchronization operations are highly resilient and can recover from temporary outages that might affect synchronization. Furthermore, users are provided rich introspection tools that can be used to help ensure the consistency of object data between buckets.
