Installing an SFP+ optical module

Procedure

  1. Log in to the device as localadmin.
  2. Enter poweroff at the command line.
  3. Remove the SFP+ module from the packaging.
  4. Remove the black plastic cap from the optical side of the module.
  5. Insert the module into the network card until it clicks into place.
  6. Insert the fiber optic cable into the SFP+ module.
  7. Restart the system and configure the network interface (see Appliance Configuration Guide).
