Configuring object expiration

About this task

You must upgrade all nodes to ClevOS release 3.14.4 or newer.

Procedure

  1. Click the Configure tab.
  2. Click Storage Pools in the navigation panel.
  3. Click the link of a Storage Pool to display the Storage Pool: <storage-pool-name> page.
  4. In the Object Expiration section, click Configure to display the Configure Object Expiration: <storage-pool-name> page.
  5. Click Change in the Object Expiration section.
  6. Click Enable object expiration and click Update.
  7. Optional: Configure the scanning and deletion rates
    1. Click Change Scanning in the Scanning section.
    2. Change the rate values as desired and click OK.
      Note: Background scanning can also be disabled using this interface.
  8. Optional: Enable/Disable object expiration on multiple vaults.
    1. Select desired vaults in the Vaults tab.
    2. Click Change in the Vault Settings section in the Vaults tab.
    3. Select Enable or Disable and click Update to apply that setting on selected vaults in previous page.
  9. Optional: Configure the work distribution.
    1. Click Change Distribution in the Scanning Work Distribution section in the Access Pools tab.
    2. Click Customize the scanning work distribution. New access pools must be manually configured.
    3. Adjust the sliders or manually enter a value for each access pool. The total distribution must equal 100%.
    4. Click Update.
