Impact to system during reallocation

Latency increases due to reallocation processing and proxying of storage requests.

Throttling limits the impact of reallocating Slices but increases the time that is needed to complete reallocation.

As reallocation proceeds, more Slices are proxied to the new Device Set, which makes more OPS capacity available but the proxied requests use more bandwidth on the source Slicestor® Nodes. It is not an issue unless the source Slicestor® Nodes are operating at near their network usage limits.
