Impact to system after expansion
- The theoretical maximum throughput could be increased in proportion to the added network interface capacity of the Slicestor® Nodes in the new Device Set.
- The theoretical maximum OPS could be increased in proportion to the number of added drives of the Slicestor® Nodes in the new Device Set.
- The latency change should be negligible, unless the original latency was significant due to system load. In that case, latency should reduce to a meaningful degree.
Performance Improvement Dependencies
It can vary in practice, depending upon:
- The quantity of Accesser® Nodes to support the quantity of deployed Slicestor® Nodes.
- The type of Slicestor® Nodes that are deployed in the original and new Device Sets.
- Network bandwidth between sites for a dispersed geographic configuration.
