Identify the hardware components

You should become familiar with the external components of the 5U92 disk enclosure.

Components on the front of the enclosure

Figure 1 shows the front of the 5U92 expansion enclosure. In the figure, all parts are installed in the enclosure.

However, as Figure 2 shows, the 4U and 1U fascias are packaged separately. You must attach them to the front of the 5U92 disk enclosure as part of the initial installation process.

Components on the rear of the enclosure

Figure 3 shows the components on the rear of the 5U92 disk enclosure. Four fan modules and two disk enclosures are accessible from the back of the enclosure.

Support rails

Figure 4 shows the support rails for the disk enclosure. The support rails are packaged separately from the disk enclosure.

Cable management arm

The cable management arm (CMA), which consists of an upper and lower assembly, are packaged separately from the disk enclosure. As Figure 5 shows, each CMA assembly is attached to the rear end of the support rails.
