General
Click Change to edit the alias field or to change the site for this device. This field can be used for internal tracking information (capital asset, and so on), and will be part of the inventory database in a future release. Click Monitor to short-cut directly to a monitor view of this device.
The remaining information is shown for information, but cannot be edited. For multi-node devices, Chassis ID and Node Location/Count are also shown.
Click Remove to permanently remove this device from the system. A device cannot be removed while part of a deployed vault.
For maintenance (or IP changes), see infodevicerepair.html#concept_lj4_gvq_p1b. For permanently replacing (swapping) an existing Slicestor device, use the Change Vault function. See Replacing a Slicestor® Device. If an active device is removed from a vault, the vault continues to function but below full width. Alarms are generated if the vault is below threshold.
Device Capacity
- Unallocated
- Raw capacity minus the sum of all other usage categories.
- Allocated
- The sum of vault slice data that was written to the Slicestor device and space used on the disk by system structures.
- Reclaimable
- Allocated space on the disk that should no longer be used, but will be used pending compaction.
Device Configuration
This information cannot be changed. Detail information about each disk in this device is also shown.
Manager UI/API HTTPS Certificate Chain
Displays the certificate chain for the IBM COS Manager™ device's UI/API HTTPS. If the field is empty, the device's internal certificate is used.
HA (High Availability) Configuration
When configured for High Availability, HA Configuration shows the list of virtual IP (VIP) addresses associated with the File Accesser device.
Metadata Configuration
This information cannot be changed. Identifies which File Accesser device within the metadata cluster was used as the seed node.
Signed Device Certificate
Click Change to replace the certificate for this device. The certificate is either self-generated during the installation process, or entered manually if the external Certificate Authority (CA) feature is enabled. Manual entry is done during the installation "One Time Set-up" process or entered here.
Subject - Identifies the entity that is associated with the public key. For system hosts, the Subject field is populated by each respective hosts' DN (distinguished name).
Key Fingerprint - A public key fingerprint is a short sequence of bytes used to authenticate (or look up) a longer public key. Fingerprints are created by applying a cryptographic hash function to a public key. Since fingerprints are shorter than the keys they refer to, they can be used to simplify certain key management tasks.
Validity Dates - Specifies the beginning and ending validity dates for each certificate. For system hosts, it represents the date that the key pair was signed and the date by which the key pair must be renewed. The validity period for signed system hosts certificates is 1 year. This key automatically renews 6 weeks before expiration.
