Use index delegation any time the index is used. Performance testing shows that the extra message that is needed to delegate index writes does not add noticeable latency to the overall operation. For workflows that normally result in index contention, delegation decreases latency per operation.
Note: Systems with Storage Pools that contain multiple sites that have significant latency among
them possibly could notice a slight increase in overall request latency due to this extra delegation
message. The client must send the delegation message to begin index delegation. It applies if the
system name index is enabled.
