Configure application

The IBM Cloud Object Storage Manager Configure application is used to add, delete, and configure all hardware devices and software parameters that are needed for the proper operation of the system. Refer to the Security application for security policy, certificate management, and user privileges.

Click Configure at the top of the screen to start the application.

Attention: Any time a device is added or a vault, site, cabinet, or an administration configuration is changed, the Manager device must be backed up by navigating to Settings > Operations > Backup Manually . Permanent data loss can occur if the Manager database becomes corrupted. Periodic backups must also be performed to preserve historical statistics and log information. For details, click the Settings tab, and navigate to Operations > Backup Configuration.

This window initially shows a summary of the system hardware and vaults, a summary of the available raw capacity, and any devices that are pending approval. Select a specific vault, device, or site from the navigation panel for detailed information.

Create a Vault, Mirror, Storage Pool, Access Pool, Site, or Cabinet.

Click Create on the Summary Section and follow the instructions.

For existing vaults, mirrors, sites, cabinets, or devices, selected parameters can be modified or deleted. Select the item from the navigation panel and follow the instructions. Some items, such as Mirrors, are not displayed until a Mirror is created.

Capacity
