Front control panel
The power status and the hard disk drive and network activity of the appliance can be read from its front control panel, as shown in the following figure.

Physical buttons
The appliance includes two push buttons on the right of the front panel:

- Reboots the system.

- Applies or removes power from the power supply to the appliance. Powering down the appliance removes the main power, but supplies stand-by power. The appliance must be unplugged before servicing.
LEDs
The control panel has five LEDs to provide critical information for different components:

- Power supplied to PSUs - lit when the appliance is operating.

- Hard disk activity.

- Network activity on ETH0 when it is flashing.

- Network activity on ETH1 when it is flashing.

- Power supply failure when it is flashing.

- Fan failure when it is flashing. Overheat condition when it is lit. Check the following conditions:
- Room temperature
- Cable routing inside appliance
- All fans are present and operating normally.
- Appliance covers are installed.
- Heat sinks are installed properly.
