Spanning Tree Protocol

The system network interfaces connected to the customer network are not part of the Layer 2 switching network. The Spanning Tree Protocol is not needed on these ports and no Bridge Protocol Data Units (BPDU) are sent. Systems send only untagged Ethernet frames. No IEEE 802.1Q VLAN tagging is used.
