Install the TM1 API (dll)

This procedure can be skipped when the Financial Analytics Publisher service and the TM1® application server reside on the same server.

TM1 API (dll) files are required for the Financial Analytics Publisher server to communicate with the TM1 server.

Procedure

  1. Download and extract the relevant file, for example: IIPAA0_2.1.14_Windows_ML.zip.
  2. Unzip the file and double-click the installer, for example: analytics-installer-4.0.27-win.exe.
  3. When asked, make sure you choose the TM1 Server component only:
  4. Add a Path for the TM1 API (dll) files, into System Variables, by doing the following:
    1. In Windows Explorer, right-click My Computer, and select Properties.
    2. On the Advanced tab, click Environment Variables.
    3. Under System Variables, select Path, and click Edit.
    4. Append this with an extra entry at the end, for the path to the TM1 bin64 directory, for example: C:\Program Files\ibm\tm1_64\bin64
  5. Restart the Controller application server to implement the new system variable changes.
