Defining the data mart
You add data marts in Financial Analytic Publisher to define the data you want to publish, and save the information as a definition.
Before you begin
Procedure
- Log in to Controller Web.
- Navigate to the Administration
tab > FAP screen.
The user who has privilege to access the FAP menu can access the FAP screen.
- On the Database Configuration tab, enter FAP in the Database Name field, and click Connect.
- On the Sources tab, select the source that is named
Production, and click Start. The Sources tab details are preconfigured by IBM. Do not make any changes to the details present in the Sources tab.
- On the Data Mart tab, click New.
- Enter the following values:
- Name
- Name of the data mart.
- Source
- Production
- Log level, Interval, Specify forms, Naming conventions, Consolidated groups
- Define these fields as required for your environment. For example, select the Consolidated groups checkbox if you want the monthly consolidated cube holding consolidated values from the last consolidation in Controller on group level only.
- Admin host
- The URL of the Planning Analytics as a Service API endpoint specific to your account.

If your Planning Analytics as a Service URL is https://us-east-1.planninganalytics.saas.ibm.com/?accountId=ABCD12345&tenantId=WXYZ09876
Then your Admin Host should be https://us-east-1.planninganalytics.saas.ibm.com/api/WXYZ09876
- Server
- The name of the TM1 database where data entries are to be stored.
- Client
- The Client field is disabled.
- Password
- The TM1 API key that was generated in Planning Analytics.
- Under Company Structure, click Add, and define the period and consolidation type as required for your organization.
- Under Start period/Actuality, click Add, and define period and actuality to be published.
- Click Save.
