Procedure

On the Populate tab, click one of the available forms. The form
opens.
An actuality or period can be opened or closed for data entry, depending on the settings in IBM Controller Classic.
The companies available for data entry are determined by your user rights.

Select or enter the form for which you want to enter values. Other text boxes can also appear,
depending on what type of information the selected form contains.
The forms available for data entry are determined by the settings of the current submission, which is defined in the Define Submission window in IBM Controller Classic. Available forms also depend on user rights and defined linked structures.
- To enter data in a cell, click the cell, and type a value.
- A green marker
means that there is an optional or mandatory comment field associated with the cell. To
enter a comment, do the following steps: - Mouse over the green marker, click
and click Optional comment, type
your comment, and optionally attach a file to the comment. Note: If you attach the same file to multiple accounts, you must save your changes each time you attach the file to an account.Supported file types are .txt, .csv, .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .ppt, .pptx, .jpg,.png, and .pdf. You can attach multiple files with a maximum size of 2 MB per file.
- For a mandatory comment, when you click the cell, the comment window opens, and you must enter the value and a comment, and optionally attach a file to the comment.
If the cell has a green marker, it turns yellow
, which indicates that a comment was added to it. - Mouse over the green marker, click

If the account is an intercompany account, then the cell has a blue marker
. Click the cell.
The Intercompany Details window opens.- In the Add Details screen, click the Add
row button and specify the following items:
- Counter Company
- Counter DimensionNote: Counter Dimension applies for only the extended dimension 1 on accounts with intercompany code I or J.
- Transaction Currency
- Transaction Amount
- Local Amount
- Comment
Tip: You can add a comment to any intercompany line. You can also add a general comment. - To add a general comment, click Comment or add file, and enter a general comment. You can also upload a file. The supported file types are .txt, .csv, .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .ppt, .pptx, .jpg,.png, and .pdf. You can attach multiple files with a maximum size of 2 MB per file.
- Click Apply.
- In the Add Details screen, click the Add
row button and specify the following items:
- If the account is an investment account, then the cell has a purple marker
. Click the cell. The Investment Details window opens.- In the Add Details screen, click the Add
row button and specify the following items:
- Company
- Transaction date
- % Own
- % Vote
- Currency
- Booked amount
If your account is analyzed by dimension, you can add dimension to the table. To add dimensions to the table, on the Add Details screen, click Customize columns
icon and select
the applicable dimensions.You can add the Number of shares, Nominal amount, and Market value columns to the table. To add these columns, on the Add Details screen, click Customize columns
icon and select
the applicable options.Note: When the LOCK_XLL_SHAREHOLD flag is enabled in Controller Classic, the system will restrict all edit and create operations on investment detail transactions in the past months. This restriction takes effect from the next new login in Controller Web. For information on creating server preference, see Define General Configuration - the Server Preferences Tab. - To add a general comment, click Comment or add file, and enter a general comment. - Click Apply.
- In the Add Details screen, click the Add
