Previewing data
The Import preview tab shows you a summary of the journal import before it is imported into Controller.
About this task
The following information is displayed:
- Name of the file
- Name of the import specification and the start read row
- Number of records (journals) read and number of records (journals) discarded. The discarded records (journals) are not imported and are usually related to errors.
- Number of companies
- Number of journal entries created in Controller for each company
- Security information. For example, you don't have write access to a company in the import file.
Procedure
- Review the information displayed on the Import preview tab.
- To import the journals, click Import.
