Setting Up the Environment

You must set up resources in your environment so that the components can operate. You must ensure that a web browser and a web server are set up to provide access to IBM® Controller components.

Use the following checklist to guide you through the set up process:

• Review the Release Notes.
• Review the supported environments.
• Verify system requirements.
• Create an IBM Controller database.
• Configure the Web browser.
• Install Microsoft .NET Framework.

You must complete these tasks before you install and configure the IBM Cognos components Additional Configuration Options to work in your environment.
