Previewing data

The Import preview tab shows you a summary of the data before it is imported into Controller.

About this task

The following information is displayed:
  • Name of the file
  • Name of the import specification and the start read row
  • Number of rows read and number of rows discarded. The discarded rows are not imported and are usually related to errors.
  • Number of companies
  • Number of entries created in Controller for each company
  • Security information. For example, you don't have write access to a company in the import file.
  • Periods to be imported. This information is available if the import has Looping by period option enabled.

Procedure

  1. Review the information displayed on the Import preview tab.
  2. To import the data, click Import.

Results

The data is imported into Controller and the Import summary tab is displayed.
