Install IBM Controller

Installing IBM® Controller is typically done by information technology personnel under the direction of the solutions architect.

When you install IBM Controller using the Installation wizard, you specify where to install these components:

  • Gateway components, which includes Controller Client Distribution Server and Gateway Integration Enabler
  • Application tier components, which includes Controller Web Services Server and IBM Cognos Connection Integration Enabler
  • Content Manager components, which includes Controller Standard Reports Package and Controller Framework Manager Model

To deploy the Publish to Data Mart Framework Manager model that is provided with IBM Controller, you must also install Framework Manager.

You can install the components on one computer, or distribute them across a network. Before installing IBM Controller, choose the appropriate installation and configuration option Installation Options.
