IBMid federation

You can use your own email addresses and passwords to control user access to IBM® Cognos® Controller, which allows your organization to manage password complexity and expiration rules, and other password settings.

Configuring IBMid to use federated authentication does not require any changes to Cognos Controller security. To enable federated authentication, review the IBMid Enterprise Federation Adoption Guide (https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/ief) with your IT organization, and then open a case at MySupport (https://ibm.com/mysupport) with product IBMid Enterprise Federation.
