Drilling down into a balance

In forms that contain imported data, you can drill down into a value to see the imported transactions that make up the value and if the sign of the amount was changed when it was imported.

About this task

For intercompany accounts (IC type I, J, and M), the drill-down details show only transactions that were contained in the original imported file. Deletions, changes, or additions to transactions that make up a balance are not displayed in the drill-down details.

If you change the balance of a non-intercompany account that has drill-down transactions and save the form, the transactions are no longer available to view.

Procedure

  1. On the Populate tab, open a form that contains imported data.
  2. Hover over a cell that contains red triangle, and select Open drill-down.
    A window opens that displays the transactions that make up the balance.
  3. To export the transactions to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, click Export data.
