Consolidate allocations
Use this function to run allocations as a separate step in the consolidation process.
The allocations are defined in Maintain > Configuration > Automatic Journals > Control Tables > Allocations. For more information, see Defining allocations.
For allocations to be booked, you have to create an allocation job. When executing an allocation job, either as a separate step in Groups > Consolidate by Steps > Allocations or as part of a consolidation with status, the result is booked on automatic journal type 37. For more information, see Jobs and mapping tables.
When the allocations have been executed, the consolidation log report will include the following information about the allocations:
- The start and stop time for the allocations.
- If there are any allocations that were not executed in the job due to errors in the definition.
