Entering values in investment accounts

You can apply the investment amounts from the Cognos Controller Classic investment register into an investment account in Controller Web. You can also add and delete rows in the investment register from Controller Web. This functionality is available only for investment account in group companies in standard forms.

Procedure

To apply amounts from the Cognos Controller classic investment register, follow these steps:

  1. On the Populate tab, click a form that contains investment accounts.
  2. Select the investment account and click an empty cell.
  3. To add a row, do the following:
    1. Click a row to select it.
    2. Click the Add icon add icon
      A new row appears below the line you selected.
    3. Enter new content in the row.
  4. To edit a row, do the following:
    1. Click the row to select it.
    2. To delete the existing value, click Clear selection.
    3. Enter a new value.
    4. To delete the row, click the Delete row icon Delete row icon.
      Tip: If the row is linked to an investment register template, the row is not deleted. However, you can edit the percentages and the booked amount.
  5. If there is a comment field displayed, you can type a comment in it.
  6. Click Apply.
    The total amount of the investment appears in the cell in the form.
  7. Repeat steps 2 through 6 for each cell that you want to update.
  8. Click Save to save the form.
