Cannot connect to Excel Link due to registry setting

After you install the standalone Excel link, you cannot connect to the Cloud instance.

If you cannot connect to Excel, it may be related to an incorrect registry setting.

Follow these steps:

  1. Open the registry editor by clicking the Start menu and typing regedit
  2. Navigate to the following location: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\.NETFramework\v4.0.30319]
  3. Right-click v4.0.30319, and then select New > DWORD(32-bit).
  4. Set the Name value to SchUseStrongCrypto.
  5. Set the Data value to 00000001
  6. Keep the base in Hexadecimal.
  7. Restart the Excel application.
