Create Security Groups for Import Specifications

You can create new and maintain existing security groups for import specifications. You can limit access rights for individual import specifications.

About this task

You can create import specifications in the Controller rich client and in Controller Web. The security for each of these is maintained separately so you can define security groups for import specifications in the Controller rich client and in Controller Web.

Procedure

  1. On the Maintain menu, click Rights/Security Groups. The Security Groups window opens.
  2. Select one of the tabs as described in the following table:
    Security group Tab
    For import specifications in the Controller rich client Import Specifications
    For import specifications in Controller Web Import Specifications Web
  3. On the tab you selected, click New.
  4. In the Code box, enter the code of the new security group.
  5. In the Name - Group and Name - Local boxes, enter the name of the group in the local and group languages.
  6. In the Available list, select the import specifications that you want to include in the import specification group, and move them to the Selected list.
  7. Select Access Rights.
  8. Click Save.

Results

The import specification is added to the security group that you belong to.
